Seasonal Encounters
Discover Sardinia through people, food and vineyards

Every Wine & Plenty encounter begins before the first glass is poured. It grows from quiet paths, unexpected doors, old stones, small gestures and the generous rhythm of island life. Step by step, Southern Sardinia opens itself through moments that feel simple, true and deeply human.
SUMMER — Vendemmia
Sea vineyards, harvest season and long Mediterranean evenings
In summer, Southern Sardinia reveals itself through vineyards, sea breezes, and long shared tables.
This is the season of harvest — hands touching grapes, tasting fresh olive oil, and lingering sunset dinners between vineyards and the Mediterranean.
During the encounters, we take part in authentic seasonal moments:
walking through vineyards during harvest time, meeting local people, tasting regional wine and food, and spending slow Italian evenings with a glass of rosé overlooking the landscapes of Sulcis.

AUTUMN — Gathering
Harvest tables, olive harvest season and deeper seasonal flavors
In autumn, Sulcis slows into a deeper rhythm.
The light softens, village streets grow quieter, and the season begins to revolve around olive oil, warm bread and long shared meals.
One of the most special autumn moments is Pane e Olio in Frantoio in Santadi — a local festival where olive mills open their doors, bread is baked in wood ovens, fresh pasta is prepared by hand, and the village fills with seasonal aromas, music and local food.
Autumn is also the season of fresh olive oil tastings, local sheep cheeses, small village festivals and slower evenings around the table, as vineyards turn quieter and the island gently exhales into winter.

WINTER — Intimacy
Quiet villages, home cooking and slow evenings around the table

In winter, Southern Sardinia becomes quieter, deeper and more intimate.
This is the season of slow tables, local kitchens, red wine, olive oil and long conversations shared indoors while the Mediterranean landscape rests outside.
The encounters during this time focus on people, stories and everyday Sardinian culture —
meeting local producers,
discovering winter food traditions,
visiting small wineries,
and experiencing the island through its slower rhythm.
Winter reveals another side of Sardinia:
less discovered,
more personal,
and deeply connected to the life of the place itself.
SPRING — Renewal
Fresh vineyards, wild herbs and slow Mediterranean spring days
In spring, Southern Sardinia opens slowly back into color, movement and fresh Mediterranean light.
Vineyards begin to awaken,
wild herbs appear across the landscape,
and shared tables return outdoors beneath olive trees and open skies.
During the encounters, we explore the season through vineyard walks, local spring dishes, fresh olive oil, village life and moments shaped by renewal and new beginnings.
Spring carries a feeling of openness and discovery —
a season where nature, people and place begin moving again together
